School Coach and Intern Positions Available with Team M3 for 2011 Season
Great Experience for Students or Others Interested in Exploring Careers in Non-Profit Management, Program Management, Health, Wellness and More!

Position Summary
The MGR Foundation seeks school coaches and interns to assist the Team M3 program director. School coaches will be assigned to an individual school to oversee recruitment and training of student athletes. Coach positions are paid positions upon the completion of the program. Interns will assist the coach in implementing the program, supporting day-to-day administration, operations, and logistics.

Specific Coach Duties Include:

  • Assist program director with two weekday training runs: calling students, taking and processing attendance, mentoring students at their school, and general support of their weekday runs
  • Assist program director with recruitment and retention of participants at the chosen high school
  • Plan and implement trainings twice per week at chosen high school
  • Follow guidelines established by program director
  • Calling students, taking and processing attendance, mentoring students at their school and general support of their weekday runs
  • Assist Team M3 program director with Saturday-morning long runs and program support
  • Assist with race and event preparations

Specific Intern Duties Include:

  • Assist school coach with two weekday training runs: calling students, taking and processing attendance, mentoring students at their school and general support of their weekday runs
  • Assist Team M3 program director with Saturday-morning long run and program support
  • Drafting and producing marketing, promotional or press materials for Team M3 programs and events
  • Writing articles for the monthly newsletter or MGRF News Blog
  • Prepare program materials for volunteers, mentors, students
  • Assist with race and event preparations
  • Other office administrative support and special projects as needed

Qualifications
Graduate-level or bachelor’s students

  • Passionate about our mission and serving youth
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with a positive, professional, can-do attitude
  • Strong attention to detail and care to deliver quality, professional work
  • A flexible self-starter that does not require heavy supervision
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus!
