Our programs are divided into 3 program areas: Heath & Well-Being, Volunteering & Community Development, and Arts, Education & Youth Development. Our Health & Well-Being programs include Team M3 and Positive Spin; our Arts, Education & Youth Development programs include Murals, PeerCorps and Willpower; and our Volunteering & Community Development programs include GREEN Community Schools and CareTeam.

GREEN Community Schools is the MGR Foundation’s approach to implementing and integrating green education to underserved students. GCS creates long-term holistic partnerships in order to promote environmental awareness and fully integrate sustainable practices in local communities.

CareTeam is the MGR Foundation's volunteer program: CareTeam facilitates connections between volunteers and the communities we serve. We bring together various generations and cultures to confront social issues through innovative direct service events, without fees or fundraising from volunteers or partner organizations.

Training from May to October, the students and mentors of Team M3: Chicago Student MentorRun prepare for the 26.2 miles of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon and, through mentorship, build skills for success beyond the finish line.

Positive Spin is an exciting health, wellness, and mentoring program offered by the MGR Foundation for Pittsburgh's high school youth. Through this program we break down the barriers of unhealthy lifestyles, lack of positive adult role models, and neighborhood seclusion.

Violet Lotus: Yoga for Youth is a unique program of the MGR Foundation that provides a certified Bikram Yoga instructor and curriculum for a full school year to teach yoga and breathing skills to underserved high school youth in Chicago.

WillPower is a teen pregnancy prevention program that utilizes peer theatre—supported by sexual education and parental involvement—to encourage Chicago-area students to think critically about their sexual choices and reproductive health.

The Peer Corps initiative is a pilot of the MGR Foundation, building on our work in detention centers and at-risk schools and communities. High school upperclassmen, college students and adults commit to a 2-year mentoring relationship with an at-risk student, or with a child exiting the juvenile justice system.

Through the artistic process of drama, visual arts, music, movement, and media, students explore their personal and communal choices, painting a "mural" of healthy living for their lives. Inspired to change themselves and their communities, students become activists for peace and unity.
