(Las Vegas, NV) Since the beginning of the school year, MGR Foundation’s Amelia Gulling has been serving as the Las Vegas GREEN Community School Program Director at Western High School. She has been working diligently to lay the groundwork needed to create a school environment committed to sustainability. Teachers have started to integrate environmental education into their curriculum. Over fifty youth have regularly been attending Western’s new Environmental Justice Club. Community partners are on board and ready to make a difference.
On Friday March 23rd, MGR Foundation will host its official kick-off event for GREEN Community Schools at Western High School. Hosted by GREEN Community School’s National Advisory Board Chair, Jayni Chase and her husband Chevy Chase, the school community will celebrate its newfound commitment to sustainability and environmental education. Our goal; creating a cultural shift to change behaviors that will ultimately save our planet. Join us! '
