Position Description
1. Artist - Murals - School Year The MGR Foundation Pittsburgh is seeking dynamic, creative, and innovative teaching artists/activitists who have experience working with young people and are passionate for empowering youth in the city of Pittsburgh through the arts. We have multiple sites across the city that need filled for the Winter/Spring Semester of our Murals: Violence Prevention through the Arts Programs.
2. Artists -Murals - Summer (Pittsburgh) We are seeking professionals in music, art, drama, and dance for our middle school summer program Murals: Art Activism. Youth will be working to advocate for peace through arts exploration. This program is in conjunction with Pittsburgh Public School’s Summer Dreamers Academy.
3. Cycling Staff- Summer (Pittsburgh) We are seeking skilled cyclists that specialize in youth development, staff management, bike maintenance, and mechanics. This program is in conjunction with Pittsburgh Public School’s Summer Dreamers Academy.
4. General Consideration General Consideration
5. Intern - Arts - Summer (Pittsburgh) We are seeking creative interns that want to make a difference in the lives of young people by helping them prevent violence through the creation of art. This program is in conjunction with Pittsburgh Public School’s Summer Dreamers Academy.
6. Intern - Cycling - Summer (Pittsburgh) Why not spend the summer teaching other students how to cycle Pittsburgh safely? Come intern for Positive Spin and spend the summer helping Pittsburgh youth! This program is in conjunction with Pittsburgh Public School’s Summer Dreamers Academy.
7. NC State Director (Charlotte, NC) – Manage the expansion of the MGR Foundation to serve youth and families in North Carolina, beginning in Charlotte. Initial emphasis will be placed on GREEN Community Schools and Health & Well-Being programming.
