We are neither a traditional nor typical non-profit. We are efficient, resourceful, responsive, adaptive and always striving towards becoming obsolete. Every program or idea we have developed and implemented is based on the premise of empowerment for the individuals and communities we humbly and proudly serve. It is this commitment to action and rejection of complacency which has propelled the MGR Foundation as a formidable force into creating positive change.

Our growth has been honest, sincere and intentional. We look forward to our future serving communities in Chicago and Pittsburgh.

DuSable Campus Community School We seek to expand our programming to reach all three schools of the DuSable Campus Community School and the surrounding campus community. Our goal is to grow the campus programs and develop a sustainable model to continue community-based programming. We also aim to develop replicable solutions to be implemented at additional Community School sites.
Team M3~Chicago Student MentorRun is focused on offering Team M3 to all underserved Chicago Public schools that could benefit from such a program. We are currently piloting a peer mentorship program which we hope to build as a model for our all Team M3 partner schools providing participants with the benefits of both peer and adult mentorship.
Murals is dedicated to enriching the lives of youth through the arts thus providing avenue to expand their horizons beyond the violence of their communities. We seek to expand Murals to partner with additional community and school sites to address violence in our communities across all school-aged children. Additionally we seek to mobilize our communities around these goals through the growth of our community rallies and outreach.
WillPower is committed to providing comprehensive sex education that invites teens to unpack key situations and relationships in teen life through peer theatre. The MGR Foundation seeks to expand its teen pregnancy prevention program, across Chicago and Pittsburgh high schools to support teens with comprehensive sex education and empower them to make positive choices.
Positive Spin In its pilot season, we hope to develop standards and best practices for our new health and wellness program. We look forward to the growth of this new program from our 15 participants to additional student and mentor pairs increasing our impact through mentoring, fitness and accessibility.
CareTeam aims to engage Chicagoans in volunteering through direct service. Our goal is to focus on several key events and deepen our impact on Chicago’s communities in need in the areas of youth development, environmental protection, poverty reduction and senior recognition.
Growth The MGR Foundation seeks to extend the benefits we could provide to the communities we serve by having a central location for our services. We are working with local aldermen in our service areas with the goal of acquiring a space in Chicago for the MGR Foundation’s Community Engagement Center.
